I ended up making this for a dinner club that I am in with a bunch of friends. My turn to make the main dish. This does take a LONG prep with all the chopping and dicing, and the patties do give off a lot of grease while baking, but ABSOULTELY the best when it came to taste. I doubled the meat for the most part and got five HUGE PATTIES out of this. Baking time was longer due to the thickness of them. The sauce was a nice surprise cuz I am not a tomato fan, but with enough Red Hot sauce, it was a nice kick to add over the top. Totally worth the time to prepare.

What an introduction to Food Network recipes. I watched this show and thought my husband would love this. I was right! The sauce was amazing. The next time I make it I will use a bit more burger and a little less sausage. It took me quite a bit longer than 30 minutes. Worth every minute!

Try to find thick pancetta. I doubled the meat and made 9 meatloafs. I did half with ketchup and half with the italian sauce. I forgot to add tomatoes but it still turned out fabulous!

This was great. I used good peppery bacon instead of pancetta in the sauce and the smoky taste was very nice. Otherwise followed the recipe exactly. No way this can be done in 30 minutes without a sous-chef. It's worth the time, however. Really good.

I saw this on TV and thought that it looked good. It was really great .. like a big spicy meatball.

This recipe is more like 8 servings for my husband and I ... not sure if we have light appitites or not but the meatloaf patties are just way too big for either of us.

As a side note, even at 8 servings (as it is for us this recipe comes out at 13 points using Weight Watchers plan (that's over 1/2 of my daily allowance.

If you aren't concerned about calories though, this is very tasty. Enjoy! :
