My whole family said this was really delicious. And that's a hard consensus to get! Totally yummy meal in every respect. The rice is unique and packed with flavor. The steak is basic, but the oregano sauce just kills! I was licking my plate! And the tomatoes are a nice complement to the other flavors on the plate. I changed only one thing. I didn't have any hot peppers for the oregano sauce, so I used about a teaspoon of Sriracha instead. It added a suitable spiciness. And I did need more chicken broth - maybe about another 3/4 - 1 cup. You can always add more at the end of the cook time and cook it a bit longer. Dynamite meal & will be doing it again!

Was awesome!!!!!! My husband made it tonight and the rice pilaf was to die for. The feta gives it such a unique flavor to an already tasty pilaf. He did have to use more chicken stock and didn't have fresh oregeno or nutmeg. He used dried oregeno. I would make this as a fancy meal for a dinner party or any family gathering. IT'S THAT GOOD!!!

I made the spinach and feta rice pilaf. It needed more broth and could have used more spice...maybe garlic. The recipe makes a huge amount, so next time I will make a half recipe...

I made the whole meal as written with only two exceptions. I am not a meat eater so I substituted seitan for the beef and vegetable broth for the chicken broth. The oregano sauce was super delicious and so easy to make. I will definitely be making this again. The broiled tomatoes were ok but nothing special. The rice had issues. First of all, the amount of liquid as stated in the recipe was way too little. I ended up having to add nearly 4 cups of broth/water to cook the rice. It also made a lot more than 6 servings. I could have fed 10 people with the amount it made. And even though I love spinach, I think a whole, large bunch was too much. The spinach flavor overwhelmed everything else in the pilaf including the feta which has usually has a distinctive place in any dish. I won't make this dish again. I also have an issue with this recipe being presented on "30 Minute Meals" when it can't be completed in that amount of time and the recipe even states the cooking time is 50 minutes.

I also, just made the rice pilaf. It was a good start (base for what would be a great recipe. I think next time I will use a parmesan cheese instead of feta.

I just made the rice pilaf, the kids loved it and ask for more. I didn't puree the spinach, just chopped and mixed in. It was GREAT!!
