I wasn't a huge fan of this dinner. I've never had Blue Cheese and I was a little worried, but thought I wouldn't be able to taste it that much. I could taste it though! If I make it again, I'll just use cheddar cheese. The rest was very good though.

Thank you for the tip about the rue.(It looses its thickening power if you cook it too long. I just made one the day before and wondered why did not work. Today you answered it on this episode, and when I made this dish, I made sure not to overcook it. It worked! Great tip!
Love watching chefs making dishes rather than reading recipes. I can learn so much more that way.

Awesome. We loved this recipe. I substituted pepperjack for the bleu cheese and used French's beef gravy.

I wasn't feeling well this morning and this recipe came to mind as "comfort food," I will caution that the quality of the ground beef is really important in this recipe since you are looking for the beefy flavor. I used about 6 oz of cheddar cheese instead of the bleu and added a tablespoon of A-1 steak sauce to round out the gravy

We love this recipe!! I use cheddar cheese instead of blue cheese because we are not big blue cheese fans. My entire family raves about this shephards pie.

Took me about 60 min to make. Meat needed more seasoning. The mashed potatoes were awesome.

This is a very tasty dish. In a nod to the traditionalists in my family, I added a cup of frozen peas, thawed. For those who would use instant potatoes in this dish, I ask: would you substitute a Mercedes with a Traubi/Trabant?
