Me and my sister watched the episode and then I we made it that night. It was sooooo good. We loved the flavor of the blue cheese in the potatoes and how well it mixed with the Worcestershire sauce. We have all agreed to just watch 30 minute meals and what ever Rachel made that day is what we will have for dinner! The best idea we have had in a while! : this receipe will also be great for a large group. It would also be good to try a different cheese. Like parmasean. Everyone will like it

Good but a little salty. The recipe didn't mention why the beef broth was divided so I use all in the gravy which came out very thin so I added more flour which made it lumpy. Also, recipe doesn't say what to do with the bacon after it is cooked so we chopped it up and put on top of the mashed potates and then put in a cassrole dish and baked until bubbly.

This was just OK for me. I think the problem was the blue cheese in the mashed potatoes. Don't get me wrong, I love blue cheese, but it added a tang to this that just made it seem off. I will make it again, but with plain or garlic mashed potatoes. I also added a cup of frozen baby peas to the meat - delish. Use only 1 cup of stock for the gravy, and crumbled bacon gets spinkled on top with the chives. (Recipe incomplete - I watched the show

Whoever wrote the recipe down for the website left out some details. Never mentions when to put in the cooked bacon, and why is the beef broth divided? My gravy did not thicken so I wondered later if some of the broth went somewhere else (fixed the problem with extra flour and added the bacon to the meat before the potatoes went on. I did not see the whole TV episode so maybe that would have helped. Did not add much salt, it did not need it, even using low sodium broth and low sodium Worcestershire. I would add peas next time. I think the garlic mashed potatoes as mentioned in a previous review would be good, or I would use less blue cheese and add another kind of cheese to tone down the tanginess, but that is a personal preference.

Not quite like having a steak and baked potato but the combination worked great together. The blue cheese added a nice flavor.

This is by far the best shepherds pie I've ever made!! I love the "gravy" (went really heavy on the Worchestershire Sauce--definitely a taste and season accordingly! and the simplicity.

I stirred in some frozen peas once the meat, onions and mushrooms were cooked--for color and to make it a real 1 dish meal.

I also traded the blue cheese potatoes for garlic mashed potatoes. Easy to buy ready-made if you don't want to make, too.

    EXCELLENT!!

This was easy. I used ground turkey and turkey bacon to save some calories and it was very good. I will definitely make this again.

I saw this on Rachael's show this afternoon and made it this evening. I didn't take long at all - I had my family helping me, but this is similar enough to other Rachael Ray shepherd's pie recipes so I knew what to expect. The recipe is missing what you do with the bacon after cooking - so we crumbled it and put the bits in with the meat, onions and mushrooms. The blue cheese in the potatoes was rich and creamy, and gave the dish a wonderful taste when combined with the bacon in the beef. This is a very hearty meal for a winter's day - we all loved it and and will make it again.

First of all it took me a lot longer to cook this - and I thought I was organized - but then at the end I had this starchy water and bacon left over - the recipe does not tell me what to do with it - so I got my pie put together - through out the water and thru the bacon on top - Guess I will have to watch 30 meals and find out how to make this. The flavor was just OK - nothing special - which I thought it might be
