Excellent flavor in this dish. Next time, I think I'd keep the same amount of blue cheese but increase the potatoes because I barely had enough to cover the dish. I thought the blue cheese was a tad strong but my husband loved it. Will definitely make again!

I loved this, only change I would make is make it 3lbs of potatoes and put it in a 9x13 pan to broil. Soo Good! I served this with a side of steamed broccoli.
It was even better on the second day.

This recipe is easy to follow and very easy to make. be sure to follow the recipe especially for the potatoes. it may not look like alot but when you make it theres alot of food to make. using the oven at 400 F for 15 minutes is a great idea. just be sure to use a deep enough dish or you'll find that the juices will overflow into your oven. awesome recipe. first time cooking this and it was a hit.

I followed this recipe exactly. The meat sauce and the potatoes were each good, but I wish I hadn't layered the two together. Also, I think it would be more yummy to make the meat portion with a better cut of meat. The ground beef made this dish a little blah. This makes a huge amount of food, so cut it in half for two or three people.

My husband and I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this recipe. Adding the egg yolk really did make the mashed potatoes hold together. This recipe took about 45 minutes to make from start to finish. I made the gravy with beef broth, worchestir (sp?, and flour. My husband does not enjoy blue cheese/onions/mushrooms, so I put those on the side. Plain or with the fixings..it was a hit!

My family didn't care for the potatoes. I would eliminate the blue cheese next time.

Super yummy! This did take just a little longer than a half hour to make, but it was well worth it. Even my husband, who really hates mushrooms and onions, loved it. The blue cheese added a great punch to the mashed potatoes. I used green onions instead of chives, and I followed the advice of one of the other reviews and put the whole casserole dish in the oven at 400F for about 15 minutes to get the whole thing really hot and the potatoes crusty. This definitely goes onto my "to keep" list!

Easy and tasty but next time will use less blue cheese. It is rather strong for my family, especially the younger children.

This was so delicious! The flavors work so well together. I only used 5oz of blue cheese because that was the size of the container I bought, but it was enough. It took Hubby & I both in the kitchen to make this in 45 minutes. It was worth the effort though!
