I've made this entire menu a few times, and we love it! I usually make anywhere from 6 to 8 burgers with it. Since it's just my husband and me, I freeze the extra. Then I get to listen to my husband ask several times a week, "When can we have the Burrito Burgers again?" Moist, easy and delicious! I do mash up the beans a bit so they blend in more easily.

To those who called it bland, did you maybe substitute pepper for the grill seasoning? Remember, grill seasoning has the salt, so if you used pepper, you'll need to add extra salt-- to taste.

We're not fans of ground turkey, but since there were plenty of spices, we did not miss the ground beef. I made a few modifications, but used the spices as listed. I was filling lazy and decided not to form these into patties, and just browned the turkey with the spices and added the beans to the skillet. I skipped the rice because we didn't have any on hand. After it was cooked, I spread the guacamole (made as directed, except omitted the sour cream to reduce the fat and calories on a tortilla and sprinkled it with the cooked turkey and bean mixture. I topped our burritos with a little reduced fat cheese and cilantro. Yummy; will make again.

These are excellent! Easy, quick, and very affordable. My husband enjoyed these a great deal and he is NOT a burger fan. I'm a huge fan so I am tickled to have found these. Thanks, Rachel!

Nice idea, my daughter is diabetic and I have been looking for ways to incorporate more beans into her diet. She said the burger was good! Yay! I only used a little bit of rice and a lot of spices. I did not make the guac so I served with tomato, lettuce, jalepenos and some taco sauce. Cheese might be a good addition for next time.

This is a great idea!! Since we have been eating more healthy lately - no sugar, no dairy, no red meat, and no processed wheat - I thought this was a great fit into our new diet plan. I took the advice of some other posters and mashed the beans a bit before adding them to the ground turkey and also bumped up the spices a bit. I wouldn't say my husband was thrilled, but he ate it and took one to work the next day!! I think I might actually puree the beans next time in the food processor to make them meld a bit more with the meat. Oh!! and I used greek yogurt instead of sour cream for the topping - excellent flavors!! All in all a good recipe!!

Yummy yummy yummy! I've made these quite a few times. I love the burger and especially the avocado cream on top. Sometimes instead of using plain rice, I used a favored one (like the microwavable Uncle Ben's it adds even more flavor

Everything in the recipe is pretty good but nothing stands out as "excellent". I loved the idea of the beans & rice in the burgers & will do this again. But next time I'd add some more chili powder and increase all the other seasonings as well. I liked the limey-ness of the guac and used an extra half of an avocado instead of sour cream so it was nice & thick. I'll leave the seeds in the jalapeno next time but my guests didn't like heat so I had to leave them out.
I used a 1.3 lb. pkg. of turkey (increased spices accordingly and mashed the beans... this would have easily made 6 patties, but I made 4 and they were gi-freakin'-NORMOUS!
Overall a fabulous idea but needs a little more "oomph" to bring its rating up for me.

AMAZING! My family loved them! I only made the patties, and I used black beans and brown rice because that is what we had. Very fun to make, and definitely a good way to stretch a buck, and get extra fiber :

Fabulous ! Delicious ! Just excellent. Super easy and flavourful. I would give it a five but giving it a four. Only reason because the beans made us a bit gassy. Apart from that its absolutely dellcious.
