this meal was delicious!! the sauce for the spaghetti was out of this world. i made petite sirloin and just montral steak seasoned them. my bf thought this was the best.

I made this dinner for mother's day for my mom & family and it was absolutly delicious!!! The sauce I was a little nervous about since I'm not big into blue cheese, but it was so creamy and didn't have a huge blue cheese flavor, it molded well with the garlic and shallots and bacon... my mom couldn't stop raving about the sauce and wanted the recipe. Thanks Rachael! This will definatly become a regular menu item in our households.

My husband made our steaks on the grill while I made the blue cheese spaghetti. I was going from memory after watching Rachael make it on the show, so I added less blue cheese than the 8 oz it calls for. It was a hit! Even my two picky-eater boys enjoyed it. My husband liked it so much, he asked me to make it again the next night!

The pasta was very good. I made as few adjustments however since I was feeding vegetarians. I did not use the bacon grease to make the sauce, I just added a little extra olive oil and butter and put the bacon pieces on the side. I also used blue cheese sqaures packed in oil with additional spices since my local store did not have crumbed blue cheese. I rinsed the oil from the cheese, kept some of the spice and it was so tasty. I made this for a party of 7 and it was all gone.

The strip steak was good, but DEFINITELY pair it with something other than blue cheese spaghetti. The spaghetti was too salty from the blue cheese. It needs to remain on salads and burgers... not spaghetti.
