Solid recipe and very easy to complete in under 30 minutes. The spices were a bit off for our tastes, so I added a bit of cayenne (about a teaspoon which toned down the sweetness. We look forward to having this for several meals this week. I recommend pulling the soup when the cabbage still has some crunch to it unless you like really limp cabbage.

I am first generation American born of Polish-Ukranian parents, and my family's stuffed cabbage recipe uses none of the spices Rachel used. Hers looked so good, and received such great reviews that we decided to try it. We follow the recipe except we omitted the dil at the end. We topped each bowl with a tablespoon of ketchup. Wow! It tasted so much like our stuffed cabbage, but not nearly as labor-intensive. The smoked paprika is incredible! While it took us a bit longer to make, my husband and I (good eaters will get 8 servings with sour rye bread from this recipe. We love it! This one is a keeper in our house!

Great recipe. As I view all recipes as guidelines, I of course had to make some changes. Used green onions out of garden rather than the large round onion, 1 clove elephant garlic (from garden rather than regular. The biggest change is that I used 2 cans of Rotel Tomatoes and Green Chilies rather than the diced tomatoes, and used Cilantro rather than the Parsley and nixed the dill. Was a great Latin twist on the recipe. Next time I'll use Cumin or Comino rather than the Coriander for the full Latin flavor.

I absolutely love Rachel's stoups. This wasn't my favorite stoup, but it was still good.

My husband and I both loved this stoup. It has lots and lots of flavor and is nice and filling. I used a store-bought rotisserie chicken and kept the rice separate until serving (hints gleaned from previous comments, but otherwise I followed the recipe exactly. I can't for the life of me figure why the few reviewers complained that it was bland, but they are such a minority I wouldn't let them stop you from trying out this dish.

This soup is great! Had it tonight for dinner & it was so good. One of my kids requested vegetable soup for dinner & I decided on this recipe as an alternative. So glad I did. Here's what my crew thought about this recipe: HANNAH(12 - Magnificent....something I would never have thought to eat, but glad I did. KEVIN(11 - It was good. MOLLY(10 - AAAAWWWWWEEEEEESSSSSSSOOOOOMMMMMMMEEEEEE!!!!
Maggie(4 - I like it & I love it & it's so good. And finally, TANNER(9-{kid that wondered up from down the street} - It was amazing & the most awesomest soup ever.

Excellent flavor, very easy to make and serves more than just four. The only thing different I added was a tad bit of sugar that was it, even got family members that don't usually eat cabbage enjoying it. Thanks Rachael for a great recipe.
