Rachel, thank you so much for the idea of this soup. My grandma used to make her stuffed cabbage with sauerkraut on top and the combo of the tomatoes and kraut was awesome. So, of course I added one can of sauerkraut right before serving. I could swear grandma was with us with us while we ate it!!!

This one never goes to waste in my house. Whenever I make it it just goes. In fact my family craves it. We make it often. I follow it exactly. We love, love it. Thanks Rach!

I liked this soup. My husband ate it. He said it was o.k. My kids did not like it. I will keep this one. It is more for me and my husband.

I thought this was a very repeatable soup. I liked the flavors. I made half the recipe because of other comments. I ground my own coriander and all spice in a coffee grinder. I used regular paprika because I couldn't find smoked. I substituted rotisserie chicken for the ground meats and added more olive oil to make up for the missing rendered fat. I will make this again. Also, I used brown basmati rice and had to cook it 40 minutes.

I really love this soup! It is really tasty-and you can really play around with it. I use ground turkey (1lb, more smoked paprika, less allspice, 1 Tbsp of tomato paste, perhaps a bit more chicken stock and a splash of red wine vinegar at the end-for depth of flavor. Super comforting and so easy!

Good, not great or over the top as some have reviewed. Don't know if I would make again since two of my kids didn't care for it. Which is too bad in a way since it was economical, quick to put together and it made a ton. Oh well.

This is my favorite soup! We make it often when it is cold outside. It makes A LOT! My husband and I are pretty big eaters and we can have dinner and 2 lunches from a pot of this soup. I have even substituted regular ground beef and green cabbage instead of meat loaf mix and savoy cabbage and it is still great : It also goes together faster than almost any other soup I can think of. I don't add the rice to the soup - I serve the soup over the rice like it looks in the picture. I think that keeps the rice from getting super soggy in the leftovers.
