I used very large berries which worked perfect. I used mini chocolate chips which meant I could put in lots of chocolate but they didn't melt like I wanted them to. The chocolate was semi sweet so the sugar was a must. I didn't have granulated I only had powdered. The granulated might have caramelized them and changed the flavor. They were better when I ate them in a bowl because they are so big and they are soft (but not mushy when they come out and can be messy. The bowl made them easier to put whipped topping on them too. If i did it again I'd make sure i'd have chocolate that would melt completely in a little pool. They were good but not insanely amazing.

Okay so I used a teaspoon measurement as my "melon baller". The melon baller just looked to big and I already felt bad about the excess strawberries waste. I Just got Fresh strawberries from the farmer's market this morning and made this recipe on a wim, very easy . A previous review said they had a lot of leaking, but I found this only somewhat true on the smaller ones (probably the heat to size ratio so bigger is a plus in this recipe. I didn't have any chocolate on hand except for carmel filled kisses, I chopped these and they were awesome. Husband loved and will make again

This was the best dessert I've had in a long time. I watch my calories so low fat/calorie desserts are hard to come by. This was so easy to make and perfect for 1 or 10. I baked at 350 for 15 minutes and they came out warm and perfect, not soggy at all. I also used semi-sweet chocolate because it was all I had. I am a huge dark chocolate lover and will try that next time. Please try this if you're a sweet lover but also a weight watcher. Its a must!!!

I thought this dessert was pretty decent. I cut the bottoms and it wouldn't stand, so I would cut more and then there would be a hole..grrr. But luckily strawberries are in season and I found huge ones so the chocolate only leaked out a little.
I used semi-sweet chocolate chips..just stuffed them in, cooked them for 7 minutes, stirred them with a toothpick (thanks for the advice and put them back in for another couple minutes. About half of them fell over but they tasted just as good.
I omitted the whipped cream since I didn't have any and sprinkled some powdered sugar all over the berries and the plate.
My fiance thought it was a wonderful dessert that reminded him of "comfort food."

This was a great alternative to the traditional chocolate dipped strawberries. I've tried to make chocolate dipped berries at home & they never come out right. This dessert comes out right everytime!

i prefer the traditional style chocolate dipped strawberries. when the chocolate cooled, it hardened. it was weird to bite into a soft strawberry with a crunchy center.
