My mom is vegetarian and so when I told her I was making sloppy joes for dinner she made a disgusted face. I made myself some with real ground beef and her some with veggie ground beef. She absolutely loved it! Now when I tell her I'm making sloppy joes she gets all excited! Thank you so much Rachael Ray for this best sloppy joe recipe ever. I will NEVER go back to packaged mixes again! :

These were excellent. They had a perfect amount of spice and they were no where near as sweet as the stuff you would get from a can. Don't let the amount of brown sugar in this recipe fool you; these SJs are not sweet at all.
I couldn't recommend these enough.

I thought it was ok. My son didn't like it. I thought it tasted more like a meat sauce than sloppy joe

These are the best sloppy joes I have ever had!! The flavors are right on and it's quick to make too for a quick, satisfying weeknight meal. Tonight I am going to try it with ground turkey.

These were so easy to make and so tasty. They didn't take much more time and effort than opening up a can of the store bought stuff and tasted a lot better.

Really good. Next time I'll use a tomato sauce with no or little salt though, it tasted a bit too salty, but otherwise really good!
