This is absolutely the best sloppy joe recipe! I've scaled it up and made it for the youth groups at church...always a big hit. Only two changes I've made. I drain the ground beef and I add some minced garlic.

Pro's-Great recipe. Probably the best rachel ray recipe I have tried. It is very tasty, and the kids loved it
Cons- I used 73%-27% fat ration ground beef which produce a nice amount of grease making it too saucy without enough meat.
Next time I will drain most of the fat off the beef before adding the onions and peppers, and use 2lbs of ground beef instead of 1 1/4 pounds. I may try throwing in a seeded minced jalapeno or two with the bell pepper.

I always loved my mom's Sloppy Joes but these are the best hands down. I have given out the recipe many times and even brought it to Denmark and made for my cousin. She loved it. I am a picky potato salad lover so I make my own - this one is just okay to me. But, Love love love the SJ's!

Fantastic--make it occasionally w/ ground turkey but still like hamburger best. Also use the high end recommended of Montreal Steak seasoning. Mmmmmmm

Mmmmm. just made this and it's great! My husband will need to put jalapenos on it (as usual, but i'm loving it. i hated sloppy joes as a kid but this is great.
I will put it over my salad insteaad of bread to make it healthier and lower cal.

Easy and very tasty. Great for a quick supper and the leftovers make a great wrap for lunch the next day. I wouldn't change a thing.
