OK at the very best. If you're like me, you're chasing the flavor of the sloppy joes you grew up with. We could never afford the canned stuff, so it was always the foil-packs and tomato paste method. This tastes nothing like that. I do remember trying and disliking man-which brand and I think this may be along that line of taste. Anyway, I was very disappointed, and had to really work to make it palatable. I should have known when it called for extra virgin olive oil. Who would waste extra virgin olive oil in sloppy joes? Seriously!!! And 1/4C of brown sugar? Are we making candy here? I'm not sure what made Rachel Ray famous, but it sure wasn't this recipe.

Oh my is this recipe a winner!!! This does not even compare to the canned version from the market or the recipe my mother passed on to me. We will have leftovers for tomorrows dinner and my husband cannot wait.

This is my "go to" recipe for Sloppy Joe's. I saw Rachel make these several years ago and have been making them this way ever since. Yummo!

Wow, I haven't had a Sloppy Joe since High School. I'm glad I tired this recipe, it's a lot better than the canned version. Thanks Rachael.
