Wonderful!! Can use hot sausage if you like the heat. I used ham and not so much red/green pepper. Also use some Ragu to dip in.

I added a thin layer of sauce to mine and hot sausage.

This was OUTSTANDING! Accidentally used hot sausage, but it just added to the flavor. This is a HUGELY SATISFYING DISH ~ you definitely don't need ALL the ingredients (kind of pricey to use all of them, as well. I just used sausage, one pepper, mushrooms, an onion, garlic, the ricotta - totally not necessary, imho - and one bag of shredded Italian mixed cheeses. Oh, and pepperoni on my roomie's pieces.
INCREDIBLY YUMMY...we both were making our happy noises as we muched away! And I didn't even finish mine - there is one section left over.
DEFINITELY MAKE THESE ~ sooo delicious! Just tweak the recipe to your liking and it will still turn out fantastic! Thanks, Rachel! :

It was fantastic. We had it for a Saturday lunch and it was great. I was really afraid that it was going to be dry because there is not really a sauce with it, but it wasn't at all. We will definitely have this again.

I knew this recipe would be good considering how many five star ratings it has, but I didn't know HOW good. It was freaking delicious. I was worried that it might be a tad dry, as some reviewers mentioned, but it wasn't at all. I like that there's no tomato sauce in it, because I find that sometimes tomato sauces can be too acidic. I couldn't find sweet Italian sausage so I used a combination of mild and hot Italian sausage. I also used less pepperoni because I was afraid it would get too meaty/greasy, but I think I probably could have used all of it. These are moist and FILLING and very adaptable to whatever ingredients you have available to you. YUM!

This was an awsome recipe! We made it expecting it to be good but was very suprised at how good it was! Next time we make it, and we will, I will cube up the hard meats smaller. Other than that it was fast and easy to make!
We also added italian tomatoes to the bread before putting on mixture! But we love tomatoes.

I am surprised to see such high rating for this recipe. I was not impressed by it at all. The basic principles of this recipe are great. I love the idea of pizza bread. But, there were WAY too many toppings on this. The saltiness of the meats and greasiness of the cheese was overpowering. My husband didn't even like it - and, he is Italian (haha! We ended up scraping most of the toppings off to eat it. I will not be making this again...or, if I do, I am going to scale way back on the toppings.

I made this for dinner tonight, with a few modifications. First i used a whole wheat french bread loaf, it was amazing. I also replaced the sweet sopressata with genoa salami and substituted the mozzarella & provolone with an italian 4 cheese blend. Also i used fresh baby spinach instead of the frozen. Overall this was a great dinner, however it was much to much for my boyfriend myself. It is very flavorful and extremely filling! I would love to make this again but not till we have some people over!
