Ingredients

  • 2 cups mascarpone cheese
  • 1/2 cup confectioners' sugar
  • 1 tablespoon orange or lemon zest
  • 1 pint strawberries
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 1/4 cup Marsala wine

Directions

Mix cheese, confectioners' sugar and citrus zest until smooth and combined. Mix berries with sugar and Marsala and let stand for at least 10 minutes. Spoon berries into dessert dishes, then top with mascarpone and more berries.

    Served this at my daughter's graduation party (from college.. She wanted a tapas theme, and this was adorable served in clear shot classes, with a touch of the cheese mixture on top and a tiny spoon. Soooo yummy, and so cute!

    This is a perfect ending to any meal! However, I used it with berries and granola as a breakfast treat. I will definitely use it with crepes for dessert tonight!

    My guess is that those that did not like this recipe used a bad wine. There is no shortage of bad wines out there, and I know many people use bad wines when coking, which is the worst mistake ever. These ingredients balance perfectly together, and I'm sorry that some people have poor taste in wine.
