This was a delicious dinner. Like other posts, the sound of the combination of ingredients for the "sweet and sour" sounded very different than any other stir fry I've made. It is and it is delicious! The only changes I made were to season the steak before it went into the hot pan and I added fresh chopped garlic. I also substituted a more "traditional" vegetable stir fry, i.e., julienned carrots, zucchini, red onion, red, green and yellow peppers, instead of the edamame and it was very flavorful. Also served it over the fettucine which another poster mentioned, fabulous alternative to the rice! Great job, again, Rachel!

My husband and I love steak so this was a winner for us. The sauce ingredients did sound a little odd but worth a try. I served this with brown rice and tofu noodles instead of mash potatoes . I also used a lot more veggies because I am a veggie fanatic. I added fresh green snap peas, red cabbage (as mentioned by another commenter, broccoli (this is excellent with it, and bean sprouts. I ended up getting shallots at the store instead of chives..oops but turned out good anyway. I also used one New York strip steak and one sirloin steak. I think the sauce is great and will make this dish again!!!!

This is super easy and filling. I serve mine with pasta instead of the mashed potatoes. At first I thought the combination sounded weird, but I was pleasantly surprised. My husband couldn't even guess what was in it!

Had a great time fixing it, and really enjoyed this meal. Unlike other reviews I really enjoyed the sauce. I thought it added a good zing to the meal. We added red onion to this already great stir fry recipe, and the onion made it that much better!

I needed something good and something fast. Wednesday cooking time gets cut in half because of needing to leave for church. When I get home, I need something that will not be the same old same old meal. My husband had defrosted the sirloin for Tuesday so I knew I needed to cook the sirloin today. So, I jumped on the food network site in hopes of finding an easy recipe that I had all the ingredients for. THIS WAS IT!! I was uneasy about making it after reading some of the negative reviews but then thought...opinions are like brains...everyone has one. I mixed the sauce and WOW!!! I loved it. I did substitute some of the ingredients as we are diabetic and my husband must watch his salt intake, so I used low sodium soy sauce. I also used steam rice instead of mash potatoes and added frozen peas and fresh cabbage. The whole dish turned out great and even my teenager loved it.

Just remember people, never not try something just because someone else's taste buds doesn't like it, is stupid. For instance, not everyone likes chitterlings but their are lots of people that do (excluding me.

Rachael calm down. I am sorry, but some foods are not meant to be combined. Americans really need to move away from the crap that we eat. All the sodium in this meal is enough for 2 weeks and I cannot even imagine what it would take to digest a meal like this without some sort of discomfort. Please, make some foods that are natural and healthy that we can feel good about eating.

I love Rachael and her recipes, but this one was not good at all. The ketchup, mustard, etc... sauce ruined the dish. It would have been better with bottled teriyaki.

Great recipe. Hubby and I both enjoyed it. Next time I'll cut out one of the red bell peppers (a little too much peppers for our taste and add some pineapple. I didn't use the endarme (looks too much like lima beans for hubby and replaced the yellow mustard and brown sugar with honey mustard and served it with rice. YUMM-O.
