What a snap! My husband grilled the chicken and the pineapple while I made the slaw. Voila! Dinner in 30 and both of yes worked together to make it happen. Perfect for company too.

This was the biggest hit with my family so far. Three of us ate all of it. My son ate over 2 cups of the slaw. Our store doesn't have savoy cabbage so we used Napa cabbage. My husband tried to steal my last slice of the pineapple that went with this. It was fabulous and easy. I often hate teriyaki - my son made sure to buy a really great brand. I would serve this meal to anybody as a special meal even though it took almost no time to cook. Wonderful.

However, I don't understand those who say the slaw has too much ginger in it. Not having time to search this small town for savoy cabbage, I substituted a pre-mix bag of green and red cabbage and shredded carrots (the type you'd find in a grocery store. Much less volume than a whole head of savoy cabbage would have provided. But I still added the same amount of pickled ginger. The ginger was very light, and added a very nice piquancy that really set this off.
Both my wife and I thought this was very, very good. A definite keeper.

Ginger-carrot slaw was amazing. The combination of cider and honey was refreshing. It was a great compliment to the Teriyaki. Less than 30 min to make and well worth the rewards.

My mom and I prepared this meal, and although it took wayyyyyy more than 5 minutes to make, it was still delicious! The chicken was tender and great! the only negative thing about this, is that it wasnt enough to fill you up.
