This dish was very tasty, my husband and I both enjoyed it. But I had a hard time prepaing this meal in 30 minutes. I think jar sauce would speed up the process.

I made this recipe the other night and it was hit. My friend said it was the best meal he'd had in a long time and today requested that I make twice as much so that he could have some now and freeze some for later.

The night I chose to first make this dish, a guest unexpectedly arrived for dinner. Of course I was nervous in presenting a new dish, but the guest, my husband and I really liked it.

My two older kids saw Rachael making this last week and wanted me to look up the recipe. I did, and just knew they wouldn't like it, because of the "grown-up" ingredients in it, but they insisted that we try it. Yesterday I came home from shopping with all the ingredients and we had this pasta for dinner tonight. My 11 year old DS helped me make it, and I just knew that he wouldn't eat it! However...EVERY ONE OF MY FIVE KIDS and my PICKY HUSBAND SCARFED IT DOWN!! And they have already begged me to make it again! A keeper...thank you Rachael!

While this recipe was aimed towards younger cooks, I found it to be a little too difficult for my teenager. Then again, maybe it's just because I don't trust him in my kitchen?
The fresh ingredients are what truly makes this recipe. It makes a really large amount, too, so it would be fantastic at a potluck or dinner party.

This was the first time my 9 year old and I really cooked dinner together, and it was a great recipe. Some basic skills, common ingredients, and fast, too. The whole family loved it. Spice it up with some sausage for the adults; we left out the pesto for the little kids (just to be cautious- may put in back in next time! Came out great! Homemade sauce so easy!
