Green Onion Pancakes...TERRIFIC APPETIZER!! Rating is for the pancake recipe only. Did make exactly. Taste was terrific but thought the green onion's texture was distracting. Re-made the recipe but used finely cut CHIVES. I also made them each about the size of the top of a can of soda. Again, the recipe made a great pancake and the chives provided similar flavor to the items but the cut chives' size was more enjoyable. Thanks Raechel. Annie, Fremont, CA

this is an okay meal. but why would you put the steaks on top of toasts and then also serve the fritter/pancakes? is the toast supposed to sop up any juices to keep the plate dfrom being messy?
the meat was overcooked for my taste...gut that is just a personal
favorite...i like it rare.

I only made the spinch part since I was looking for a recipe to use up a bunch of extra cream cheese thats been sitting in my fridge. I saw a coment on t being dry so I added a splash of milk and some butter and it came out great I will deffitnly be making the spinch portion of the dish again and will try the fritters too.

These fritters were absolutely fantastic! I was planning on making them for Valentine's Day dinner with my husband, but I was hungry at noon, so I whipped them up. They were great! And super easy! Having the oil hot hot hot seemed to be the best method for me. I did substitute korean red pepper for the cayenne, because I prefer the flavor. Had to call my husband and tell him not to eat lunch on his way home, because the fritters were going fast! Thanks for the wonderful recipe! BTW, my husband and I had watched the show when this dinner was featured, and we both learned some new tips. It was my husband's idea to use the dinner as our V-Day feast. Thanks again!

Made it twice now. Second time I added less hot sauce and a little more lemon juice. Tasted great. Also made it two hours before the second time so the shrimp could soak in more of the juices. Tasted great

I wanted to like it. It's just OK. Like other reviewers, mine was super dry and needed quite a bit of milk to thin it out. Not worth all the effort, in my opinion.
