I thought this chili was really good! I used 1/2 ground beef and 1/2 ground turkey so mine wasn't greasy at all. I did need to season it well with salt too. My boyfriend and I chowed down on this on Super Bowl Sunday, probably much more than we should have!

I made this to put on top of hotdogs, not as a stand-alone dish, and it was pretty good for that purpose. However, there was a little bit of a funky aftertaste when taste-tested plain, and I think it's the cloves. I will omit them next time. I fixed the problem by adding the juice of 1 big lime to the chili at the end. I didn't have problems with grease, but what I suggest is that if you see a lot in the pot during the browning, pour it off. Overall, good, but leave out the cloves.

This chili was not very flavorful. I need to spice it up significantly. Also, this was very, very greasy. Maybe it was the sausage I chose, but I skimmed off at least a cup of fat off the top. YUCK.

I was disappointed in this recipe. I ended up using it as base and adding to it. It needed a lot more spices ( I added chili powder, red pepper flake and a dash of tabasco. Also added beans
