My husband always requests these. Except I don't always have fancy bread around so I make them like grilled cheese. I use regular sandwhich bread, butter one side and grill it in a skillet. They still taste really good this way but I'm sure even better when you have the right bread.

super yummy! I used sourdough bread as well and added some garlic for more flavor...it's always nice to try something new with canned tuna

I made these as regular size sandwiches and they were absolutely fantastic. I placed mine with the cheese on fresh wheat sour dough bread, which complimented the herb flavored tuna perfectly. I then pressed in a panini grill, which made it the perfect lunch. So awesome. Thanks so much!

These sandwiches are cute, delicious, quick and easy. I served them with potato salad. An excellent recipe - I will definitely make again! I made the recipe exactly as written except I substituted the shallots for green onions. Thanks, Rachael!

My kids love this. I used regular tuna and just added a little EVOO. I also paired with another Rachael recipefor a well rounded meal "My Mamma's Tomato Bean Stoup" http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/rachael-ray/my-moms-tomato-and-bean-15-minute-stoup-recipe/index.html . Go easy on the red pepper if you're serving kids.

    Rachael -- a meal in 30 minutes -- I LOVE YOU!!!

I made this recipe on whole grain white bread with alpine lace and added a few capers to the existing recipe. Grilled it on the george foreman grill and it was delicious!!!!!!!!!! My first tuna sandwich without mayo and I didn't miss it.

I totally loved this recipe, my kids ate it all too. I've never had tuna without mayo and I loved it and I did try it with the cooking spray too and it worked well. I also put a little jalapeno into my husband and my sandwich and it gave it just a little kick but was very good as well. :

I could only get Tuna in Safflower oil, which worked fine. Added a little celery salt and cooked the sammy's on my George Foreman grill. Perfection plus! Served with coleslaw and bread and butter pickles. I have never had tuna without mayo, but did not miss it one bit.

These were excellent! Instead of Italian tuna in olive oil, I used good-quality albacore tuna then added EVOO ( because that's what I had on hand. I also used French bread a tad bigger than a baguette to expedite cooking and allow for a bigger one sandwich serving for a main meal. I've never made a tuna sandwich without mayo, so I really liked this healthier, different version with olive oil. These looked just like they did on her show and tasted yummy. I will definitely make these again, but I might try cooking spray instead of butter to save a few fat grams.
