This recipe definitely exceeded my expectations. So many turkey burger recipes turn out bland and dry but this one was delicious! I usually use sautéed vegetables in my turkey burgers, meatballs, and meatloaves to keep them moist so this was right up my alley. These burgers definitely have to be done on the grill to achieve the smokey flavor. Admittedly I added ketchup for that sweetness I have to have on burgers. Will definitely make again and again

These burgers were fabulous and did not even taste like your typical turkey burger! The seasonings and flavors make it delicious. You can even serve on buns with ketchup like traditional burgers. My kids do not like mushrooms. But they did not even know about the mushrooms in the burgers and still ate them. They did not eat the portobellos.

Great flavor, the portobello buns were delish with the burger. My burgers did not hold together well, so I will add an egg white per another reviewer's tip.

Very tasty burger. Kids helped me make it and they loved it too. I add 1 egg white to help bind it together. It was very juicy. Definitely will add to the repertoire!

This is more of a meatloaf and I've never liked meatloaf until I tried this. I LOVE it. I've done it with the portabello as a bun and without a bun. Both ways are terrific.

This is one of the most flavorful turkey burgers I've tried. Full disclosure: I didn't use mushrooms in the burger or as the bun since I don't like them. In the future I will add a bit of homemade dried bread crumbs so the burger is more solid and doesn't crumble. Turkey burgers with added moisture from onions and peppers, in my opinion, could benefit from adding a bit of a binder.

Although I watch this show, I had never attempted any of Rachael's recipes. Then, I saw the show that contained this recipe. Due to medical issues, I am trying to cut out the carbs for our family. Yet, it is hard to find really good complete meals that fill you up and are very flavorful. Rachael hit a home run with this one! My husband even loved it! Now, it is a family favorite. I also tweeked the burger recipe and made a meatloaf from it! I love this recipe!
(Rachael, please invent more low or NO carb menus! You are great at it and it would be greatly appreciated!!! Thank You!!!

I made it but didn't use the mushrooms as buns. Everything else was the same and it was fantastic!

I made these last night for my boyfriend and I and he told me these were the best burgers he has ever eaten. I left the chopped mushrooms out of the burger as I thought everything else already added enough flavor and trust me, you would have never even known I didn't add them. The tomato paste added a bit of a creamy flavor and the peppers, onions, and garlic added such a nice crunchiness to the burgers. I also cooked them in a cat iron skillet which made them crunchy on the outside but nice and moist inside. Delish! I served them with some homemade spicy sweet potato fries which made for a perfect meal!

My mouth is watering with the thought of making these again! I really enjoyed all of the flavors combined in the patties. I love mushrooms. This was a perfect meal for me!
