I love this recipe. Leftover burgers are great reheated and crumbled over a salad.

I used an egg in the batter as suggested by the other reviews and the burgers held up pretty well. Delicious!

This was really good. My husband & I loved portabello "buns" and I used regular hamburger buns for my kids. We couldn't tell it was a healthy burger, there's lots of flavour. Kinda messy to eat though!

A few years ago I made turkey burgers, we ate them but was not too thrilled about them so I just never made them again until this recipe. My family and I enjoyed this so much and I can't believe we were eating turkey burgers. I never had a portobello and we really
enjoyed the mushroom in place of the bun also. I had some left over patties, so I made a romaine salad with the turkey patty for our lunch. Very tasty.

These are the best, and my whole family loved them. My husband grilled them and they fell apart just a little but retained their shape - well worth it, they tasted fabulous!!

They held together very well, cooked well in the time allotted (although I reduced the heat to moderate after a few minutes so they wouldn't turn into hockey pucks, and the portabello mushroom "buns" were a major hit.

The only problem was that they tasted was somewhat bland. Perhaps, we're used to more heavily seasoned, brighter foods. We used only fresh ingredients. We were thinking of adding one small turkey sausage to the mix to give it some pizzazz. It already had enough heat with the red pepper flakes.

    Other suggestions?
