Okay, add an egg and it'll still fall apart, but the flavor explosion is worth it! For the person who thought this was bland, add just a pinch more crushed red pepper. Once again, this is a low sodium, delicious and NUTRITIOUS option if no salt is used (trust me, it doesn't need it. We ranked this one at our house as DADDY LIKE!

I made these burgers for the first time today, and I really love them! I didn't have tomato paste, so I substituted chili sauce, but other than that I followed the recipe exactly. I didn't add egg, but I found that if I cooked it thoroughly on one side before flipping, the burger stayed together just fine.

    Will definitely make these again!

I love the combination of ingredients and as a mushroom fan, I loved the concept of substituting portobello mushrooms for hamburger buns. I followed the advice of other users and chopped up the veggies very finely and dropped an egg to better hold the patties. Also, I couldn't find smoked mozzarella, so I used smoked provolone instead. The smoked cheese really adds a great flavor to the burgers. I highly recommend it! As for the patty itself, I found it a bit on the blander side. But I'll definitely try this recipe again!

This burger recipe is a total winner. The combo of chopped onions, garlic, bell peppers along with the chopped cremini gave it an intense flavor.
I added one egg to help bind the patty. Other than that I changed nothing else.
Everyone who had this burger was blown away. Thanks for this recipe!

This Recipe is so healthly and easy to make. It is very filling and is a meal in itself. I've made this several times now and have tried different chesses. Either way it is sooooo good. I actually crave this dish now. My mother request this dish when she comes over for dinner. She hates hamburgers but loves this..Thank you for a easy and fast, fulling meal.

I just finished my burger and I did not want to wait to post my comment. Rachel Ray, they were delicious, super easy, and the flavor was spectacular. We were afraid about the consistency, so we added an egg to avoid that they were getting apart on the grill.
Thank you very much for this recipe, and I know that I am going to cook them for my friends and they are going to say like me wow!!!!!!!!!!!!

This burger is really good. The burgers started to fall apart on me while I was cooking them, but it is definately a do over! Mushroom lovers will enjoy this recipe.
