this was fabulous and SO easy. The taste is amazing. I however did not use the tomato paste, as I didn't have any!! A very fancy burger and I can't wait to use it for entertaining. Presentation is awesome!!

I've found this recipe to be very solid. Its ingredients are very common, and doesn't suffer if you must leave one out, making it very convenient. It's also inexpensive. They are not the most cohesive of burgers though, so be very careful while cooking them. I have found that they tend to leave behind drippings, small pieces of meat, and a bit of the chopped vegetables behind on the pan. The last time I made them I scraped this stuff off, stored it and used it to make some "gravy" for some dirty rice the next day. Yummy.

My family is still talking about this dinner days later.

I substituted Fire Roasted Peppers instead of Bell Peppers and left out the Cheese as I do not eat Romano or the like.

Even though it broke up and wouldn't stay together, I just filled up the Portabello's with the meat and it looked great anyway.

You MUST use Smoked Mozarella, it Makes ALL the difference. I will make this on a regular basis as the flavor is incredible!
