I made this chili and it was very good. I think I put a little too much salt but I fixed it. I've been trying to eat less beef so this is a perfect replacement but Rachael has a fabulous beef chili recipe in her "365: No Repeats" cookbook-Down Home Uptown Chili is the best chili I've ever had. It is delicious. This turkey version will be an excellent substitute. And the pepper jack cheese corn cakes were surprisingly good. I can't make Jiffy to save my life but these came out great. And my son was being particularly picky that day and the corn cake was the only thing he ate. I'll be making both again.

We had this for dinner tonight and it was excellent! The 2 Chipolte Peppers add just the right amount of heat, we used Black beans instead of Kidney beans and I used a little more than 1 bottle of beer and a little less chicken stock than requested. My husband said it's the best chili he's ever had, we will be making this again for sure!

This was wasted time, food and money. No taste, just bland...The next day, I was hoping it would have some flavor, but it didn't...so I added a little more spice and let it cook for a bit, but it didn't help! The corn cakes were also bland, so I made my buttermilk pepper-jack cheese cornbread and we tried that with the chili, but nothing made it better!!! I poured it down the disposal...
Sorry, but we were very disapointed with this recipe...

This was a flavorful and easy chili to make. My usual recipe takes hours to mellow, so this recipe is a great stand-by if I am craving chili and do not want to wait. I used both ground turkey (it was a taco-seasoned variety and ground chuck. I followed the recipe but did add some garlic powder in addition to three cloves that I put through a garlic press, and I added a cup and a half of tomato sauce which made the chili less soupy. I simmered for 20 minutes while I made the corn cakes and my family ate ieverything up and asked for more. Wonderful recipe, and I will make it again. Thank you Rachael!

This our families new favorite chili. So fast and easy. We added another chipotle pepper because we love the taste of chipotles...and the corn cakes were a huge hit.

Oh my goodness!! This chili was even better than I imagined! My boyfriend raved about it! So simple to make and not being familiar with chipolte peppers, I had no idea what to expect. AMAZING FLAVOR!! Almost spicy & sweet at the same time. I chopped up 4 chipolte peppers instead of 2. I used the 85% lean turkey to give it more flavor. I also let it cook down for a while since I was not in a hurry to eat. The corn toppers are a must have and a great touch. They offset the taste of the chili. I will make this again for a Christmas Party I am attending in a few weeks!! Now one of my fav's!!! Definitely try it. At least once.

I love, love, love this recipe!! It is so easy to prepare and makes an enormous amount. I've been dieting so I sometimes skip the corn cake toppers and instead use LF cheese, LF or FF sour cream, and sliced avocado instead. The first time I served it, my oldest said that it was too pretty to eat--that it looked like it had come from a restaurant. What a compliment from a 13 year old boy!

This recipe was absolutely fantastic! For a quick weeknight meal, you can't beat the taste! I made just a few minor changes based on our family preferences. I've never liked the texture of kidney beans in my chili so I substitued about 2 cups cooked lentils for added fiber and protein and I couldn't have been more pleased with the choice! We also love our chili extra spicy, so I added 5 chipotle peppers and a tablespoon of the adobo sauce. I too thought it was missing just a little bit of flavor so I added a half packet of chili seasoning mix. The consistency was a bit thin for our liking so I dilluted 2 tablespoons cornstarch in a small amount of water and added that to the pot to thicken it up a bit...perfect! Topped the chili with a bit of shredded pepper jack and bravo, this was one of the tastiest dinners I've prepared in months!!
