I really liked this- although I didn't quite understand the need for the cheese on top. It was good - wasn't hard to make. I'll be making this again.

What a great precursor for Thanksgiving! I'd have given it 5 stars except that the banana in the sweet potatoes was tasty but a little strong. This recipe is incredibly versatile. I can totally see making the same thing from Thanksgiving leftovers. I didn't have poultry seasoning but I used fresh parsley, sage, rosemary, and thyme instead. I also didn't peel my sweet potatoes as they were too small to bother. This dish totally tasted like Thanksgiving!

I did not add the banana, I combined sweet potatoes and yukon gold potatoes. I also added stuffing to the ground turkey mixture which really made it taste like Thanksgiving. My family loved it.

I think this recipe would be great, but I just did not care for the banana-sweet potatoes. If your unsure, try a little bit of potato with a little bit of banana to taste. I just thought it gave an unexpected flavor that I didn't enjoy in an almost-traditional tasting meal. Other than that, it would have been great!

I was glad I watched the episode before I made this recipe since it didn't explain what to do with the pan gravy. This recipe was delicious and healthy with the lean meat and vegetables. I added some extra sage in addition to the poultry seasoning and let the meat, vegetable, and gravy mixture simmer in the pan a bit longer to ensure that the onions were tender. I also added pumpkin to the sweet potatoes instead of banana since I had some extra hanging around. Great recipe!

Very easy, excellent flavor. Great for a single person who wants guests over at Thanksgiving but coesn't want to do the traditional.
