Every time I make this recipe EVERYONE loves it. They are so shocked when they find out mushrooms are in it. I also add a can of Rotels tomatoes, large can of diced green Chilis and small can of jalepeno's (I only use 2 of the chipolte peppers from the can. Serve it up with some cornbread and honey butter and YU-UM. It's awesome. It does take me longer than 30 minutes to make and really taste better (as hubby atests the 2nd and 3rd day.

We used beef broth instead of beer, and added no beans..this was absolutely fabulous chili!!! Hot and spicy, and what a great idea to use mushrooms!

A little spicy, but really tasty, and even better the second time around.

I am not a big chili fan, but when I saw the show, I knew I had to try it. This was the best chili I have ever had! I doubled the recipe and had a few friends over. They loved it too, there was not none left! I made a double batch of cornbread instead of the fritters and included the corn but deleted the peppers (too hot for me, and added sugar, which my friends loved as well. There was none of that left either. I will for sure be making this meal again!
Good job Rachael, I love your recipes and your shows, big fan. I am making another one of your recipes for dinner tonight.
Thanks
KC

This is absolutely the easiest chili I have ever made. Full of flavor and zest, this is a winner! Other chili I've made takes at least 1/2 a day preping and simmering. This is fast, simple, very tasty and nutritious. I like using black beans and chipotle peppers. I highly recommend this to any chili lover.

...on chili. I thought it looked a little thick for my preference when I watched her cook it, so I doubled the beef stock and the crushed tomatoes. It worked out great! This was very good - and the corn fritters were fantastic!

This recipe is wonderful but is unclear about how many peppers to use. DO NOT USE TWO CANS OF CHIPOTLE PEPPERS! You should use no more than 1/2 can of peppers. I love spicy food but this was WAY TOO HOT - almost inedible. You will love it if you reduce the peppers and use a good beer.

i was excited to try this recipe given the wonderful reviews and also because i rarely give rachael's recipes less than 5 stars. but i wasn't blown away by it at all. it was good, but tasted the same to me as every other chili i've ever had.

I made this for my fiance who loves stews and chili. He loved it! I'm not big on chili but I had seconds and leftovers! Very easy to make and tastes like its from restaurant.
