This recipe is AWESOME. We've made it twice once by the recipe, once we substituted ground turkey - both ways were great. The fritters are also wonderful with the chili. Thanks to Rachel!

A great alternative to the soupy, tomato-y family recipe I'm used to. I substituted ground turkey for the ground sirloin and used cheddar instead of smoked gouda. Good way to get veggies in there.

This was so fast and easy to make. I didn't have any beer but still came out fantastic. The gouda was the perfect topper. Next time I'll add the beer and some EXTRA chipoltes!

Way too spicy! I didn't get to watch the whole program so maybe you were told about the peppers, but it certainly should have been noted on the recipe. We enjoy spicy foods and chilies, but very disappointed. This could have been a 5 star dish if I had held off on the peppers...perhaps 1/2 can but no more than 1 can...certainly not two cans. You can always add heat but I've never been able to take it away! I'm gradually learning my lesson about spicy foods.

This dish is unbearably spicy. My boyfriend and I could barely eat any. A lot of ingredients went into this and I was disappointed when the whole pot was ruined. I see that other people enjoyed it but I don't see what could have gone wrong since I used 2 canned peppers following the recipe exactly. I wish I had used the chili powder instead maybe it would have been better. Aside from the spiciness this chili had a very good flavor.

This is the best chili I have ever tasted!! I tried to meke chili once before, and it was horrible....this is easy, quick, and the taste is out of this world! I sat and ate my chili and corn bread while listening to some counrty music, and I thought all that was missing was my horse!! :Rachel, you did it again!

This was very good and easy. My children ate it and then wanted more and then they made it themselves.
