Rachel Ray has this recipe with ginger too. Not even sure I would add ginger or cloves. Everything without those ingredients would be delish. I added bits of chocolate and used whipped cream. So fast and easy. Will do again.

It is simple and easy to make. After it was done I couldn't stop sampling it. I added a little more butter (just like Paula Deen would do and a tab more cinnamon. Since my husband has to have food that is gluten free it is ideal for him.

this recipe is amazing and so simple. i had some friends over and they gobbled it up in no time, after finishing they requested more! i made a few adjustments to the recipe like switching the brown sugar to regular and it came out great, also adding more cinnamon at the end.

I think this recipe is very good. Because I'm partial to the flavor of cinnamon, I would add more of that spice to the apples. I would like to add graham cracker crumbs to the apples if I make the recipe again.

My boys (5 and 3 1/2 saw Rachael make this a couple of weeks ago and have been asking me to make it ever since then. We made it tonight and my hubby and I loved it. The boys weren't such big fans but I think it was because they were more interested in the ice cream than anything else. If we had just served the apples in a bowl (w/o ice cream they probably would have eaten it. I'll make this for company sometime.

cut apples thinly so they cook faster. Hot apples on vanilla icecream is great.

This is an amazing dessert. It was healthy and quick! It was delicious! To cut down on the calories, I used Edy's 1/2 churned vanilla bean ice cream. In addition, instead of serving 4, I split the servings to feed 8 instead since it made more then enough. In addition, I diced the apples to make then cook quicker. I also added some extra butter towards the end of hte cooking to prevent the apples from sticking. Overall, loved this recipe and will make it again for sure!

I was looking for a dessert that I could eat on my diet - this was good, but I am not a big ice cream person. I am rating it a three for my own personal recipe box, if I was rating it for others it would probaby be a four.
