This recipe has become a favorite of my family and friends. On our ski trips, it's a staple right along side of the clam chowder and chili.
Simple, easy, comfort food.

My family and I have been planning a trip to Belgium to visit friends who are posted there with the State Dept. As part of our researched, we TiVo'd any programs with "Belgium" in the title/description and found this episode by Rachel Ray. It is a simple recipe, and I could, therefore, remember it and make it. My husband really enjoyed it and I hope to make it for our friends when we're in Belgium. Since they're much better food critics, we'll see how they like it! Thanks RR!

My children named this Chicken Stew and ate every bite. This is a keeper for our family.

I have made this several times and my family loves it! I originally had this dish in a Belgium restaurant and searched for recipes-this recipe is the absolute easiest and delish!

If you want good waterzooi, take the time to make it yourself, from scratch (no canned stock. Yep, it's still canned, even if it comes in a neato box. With the stock, this just tasted like canned soup right from the regular ol' supermarket.

This is super easy and got rave reviews from my husband. He ask me if it was 'hard' to prepare, and said it inspired him to start cooking, too! I am Hungarian, and my mom taught me lots of recipes, not just from Hungary, but from all over the world. With my mother's foundation, Rachel's recipes and approaches and my own
talent, I find myself preparing more and more 30 minute meals - and if I were not
an author, I would love to be a chef! Rachel is definately my inspiration. I met her in NYC at Barnes & Noble when her magazine launched (Everyday With Rachel Ray and she is just as wonderful in person as you see on TV. And this recipe ROCKED! It;s a keeper for me - and you can do it with various ingredients. A hot paprika in NYC.

I tried this recipe when Rachel first had it on. It took a lot longer to prep everything! I added EVOO to the butter when I sauteed the veggies. I also added some nutmeg for extra flavor. The chicken takes a lot longer to cook properly. One of these days someone is going to get salmonella and sue Rachael! In the end, it came out watery and bland. I don't recommend this waste of time at all!
