I made this recipe according to the instructions precisely, and it was so lousy I threw the whole thing out that night. The beans are flavorless, and the raddichio becomes so bitter when sauteed. Don't even bother!

I liked the idea of this recipe, but the reality was very bitter! I don't know if I got a bad head of radicchio or if it's always so pungent. I tried adding some fresh lemon juice, and even a little bit of sugar but it was unsalvagable. Any suggestions, or is this just a vegetable that I should avoid????

By itself is great, but I can think of so many variations. I already tried it with black beans and it was just as good.
