4 servings

  • 1 store bought pizza dough - or pick one up from your favorite pizzeria
  • Extra- virgin olive oil, for drizzling
  • 2 cups whole or part skim ricotta
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • Handful flat-leaf parsley, finely chopped
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella or provolone, 1 pouch
  • 10 fresh basil leaves, 1/2 cup, shredded

Preheat a pizza stone if you use one along with the oven to 425 degrees F.

Stretch dough to form a pie and transfer to stone or pizza baking tray. Pierce the dough with the tines of a fork in several places. Drizzle extra-virgin olive oil around the crust. Mix the ricotta cheese with garlic and parsley and season it with salt and black pepper. Spread the ricotta across the dough. Top the pizza with mozzarella or provolone. Bake until crispy, 20 minutes. Top the white pizza pie with the shredded basil leaves, cut and serve.

Thought it was ok...I would like to see nutrition facts as many others have said before...I think next time I am going to slice up a tomato and add it as a topping, or maybe sundried tomatos. I give it a 3
The key to this recipe is quality, fresh ingredients. I absolutely love Rachael's recipes, this one was no exception. I was new to the whole 'white pizza' thing so this was over the top for me! Pizza without tomato sauce, what??? Turns out it was just as delicious and a crowd pleaser! And for the record, I couldn't even boil water before I started using Rachael Ray's recipes! ;)
This recipe is truly gross and i love Rachael Ray. I will never make it again and think there needs many additions to make it good. (very bland
I agree that the meals should include information like calories and carbs. I'm diabetic and I need to keep in mind the carbs especially and the calories per serving.
I sometimes use more garlic that is grated so fine that it is a paste.
I found this recipe under low calorie recipes-however, no where does it list any of that information. Everything I bought I tried to do it all lower calorie, I bought the part skim Ricotta & the skim milk mozzerella, but was unable to find whole grain or wheat dough. I am going to make this pizza tonight with 1/2 of the ricotta cheese and also add grilled chicken. I will only be having 1 small slice with my salad and fruit as I can only estimate the calorie intake. I find it unfortunate that the recipes I have found in the "low calorie" section of this site do not have any nutritional information. I will not use very many of the recipes for that reason.
I love white pizza and was apprehensive about not prebaking the crust a little. It needed it. My pizza was limp as can be and bland to boot. With a lot of tweaking this could be edible.
I wasn't sure about this recipe but I decided that it seemed it would be easy enough for me. I'm a picky eater but this recipe had very recognizable ingredients and so I thought I would give it a try. I like it a whole lot, my mom did too. I think I will add black olives next time and try that!
I wasn't sure how big my crust was supposed to be, but the rocotta was just too thick. But overall, it was really good.
I read most of the reviews before making this pizza and thought I would follow other cooks advice and add to the recipe. I added sauted onion and mushrooms, sausage and added fresh thyme to the ricotta. I forgot to put on the fresh basil but as much as I like Basil, I'm sure that would not have added the needed punch this pizza needed. My husband said it was very bland, didn't have much taste and didn't want it again. I have to agree with him...sorry I made it!
While it was certainly easy and fast to make, it was extremely bland.
I thought this would have more flavor, but it truly was bland. Definitely needs some additions.
Easy, easy, easy! Simple, but delicious. A great weeknight dinner.
This was "less-than-30-minute-meal" at its best! I added some other fresh herbs from my garden, and my 7 year-old son had great fun helping. I'll definitely make this again. It's a keeper!
Along with being a very picky eater my husband has a hard time eating things with tomato because it bothers his stomache. He LOVES pizza but can rarely eat it anymore because of the sauce. I made this last night and added pepperoni to it. He said he couldn't tell a difference. He loved it!!! I was shocked! Very good pizza, would feel very comfortable fixing this for guests!
I thought that the recipe sounded a little plain for my taste so I also added 1 box of chopped spinach and 1 can of chopped artichokes. With these additions, I would make this pizza again.
I can't believe this recipe is so amazing. i love it so much. rachael u rock
i loved this dish and it was so easy to make!
This pizza is AMAZING! For those of you that didn't like it, maybe you should try again/follow the directions more closely, or add you own ingredients to make it suit your own taste.

If you don't like this recipe, it just means that you and Rachael have different tastes. But you don't have to be so nasty and completely bash her as a person.

I love you Rachael, I think you're amazing! Keep up the good work!
real easy to make i made it ahead of time left in frig. Took out pizza half hour, set time before cooking , wife really loved it and i also enjoyed ,im the cook in the family. thank so much, Dave
So, I made some homemade, organic, wheat dough for this, and I rolled it out nice and thin. 425 seems a little too high for this, and, since I intend to make another one a little later tonight, I think I'll try for 375. 20 minutes is also too long, too. I left mine in for 14 minutes, and, any longer and the top would have been too browned. The taste is really delicious, but I'm thinking, when I make the one later tonight, I'll thinly slice some roma tomatoes for the top. Like Rachael'd say--Yum-o!
Next time I make this, I will add spices to the ricotta mixture.
This is a great pizza for kids who don't like red sauce. This is so simple. My youngest loves to help make it and even adds her own flair.
    Very good and very easy!
Better than the white pizza from my local pizzeria!
Different twist! Loved it! Will make again!
It's good, but doesn't have much of a taste to it. Definately needs something else on it with a little more flavor
This pizza was too bland (unless your a smoker you will probably agree). I added garlic, salt, pepper, even Basil Pesto and it still wasn't enough to give it enough flavor for me to want to make again. It has potential if you add your favorite seasonings (not herbs).
If this is what you can come up with in 30 minutes then I'd rather take more time to cook or go out to eat, no thanks!
You can make this as a snack or a meal.
