this is the best and easieast lasagna I have ever made. If you want lasagna for a special night but don't have a lot of time this is great. My whole family loved it, even the grandkids.. I make it every chance I get.

I like this dish. But to make it even lighter, I've used Fat Free Ricotta, Fat Free Mozzarella and instead of pancetta, I use Canadian Bacon. I know this really starts departing from the recipe, but I've read here how some people think this is NOT a light recipe. It's already lighter than regular lasagna, but making these changes has also made it compliant with a certain weight program I'm on.... It's something I can have on my diet, and even serve to guests, and they don't realize it's low(er-fat.

I really enjoyed this dish. It is a healthier version of lasagna than normal, especially if you control the ingredients. Use extra lean ground beef, light mozarella, light ricotta and cut out the olive oil to brown the meat. I couldn't tell the difference in taste with the whole wheat pasta and the dish was delicious.

I completely agree with the other reviews-- adding whole wheat pasta does not by itself make a dish healthy! I'm sure the fat content in this dish is through the roof, thanks to the cheese and pancetta. I thought it tasted ok, but I would advise anyone thinking of making it to cut the amount of rosemary in half-- it completely overpowered the onion and the garlic. This is decent comfort food for cold weather.

My husband and I really enjoyed this recipe. It was really simple to put together and it made a ton. I agree that this isn't a low calorie recipe, but at least you can control what you put in it. Use ground turkey, low fat cheeses, and use good sense about portion control. It's better than going out to eat where you have little to no control in the preparation of your food.

This is a great recipe. Rachel stated that meal had the tast of lasagna with out as many calories. I used part-skim ricotta and it worked very well...however, there was enough to feed an army.

I compared this recipe to my mothers family recipe using a recipe calculator and this lighter one is more fat and calories. Actually it looked more like one of those "just add ground hamburger" skillet dinners.

Come on Rachael!! Meat + more meat + cheese is NOT healthy. Just because you used whole wheat pasta, it's not healthy by default. How about a meal that includes some substantial veggies, beyond a little green salad!!?!?!
