I've made this many times and everyone always loves it. Short cuts like canned corn and not roasting the peppers and it's still fantastic. Throw a couple of corn tortillas in to thicken and black beans for a variation. My husband is a chef and said this is one of the best soups he's ever had.

This soup is so tasty. Has a nice kick to it, but not too spicey.
I made this for guests who came in to visit from out of town. They loved it....couldn't get enough. Very simple to make. Did not take a lot of time....just a marvelous recipe. Thanks Rachael!!

My absolute favorite mexican soup that is great all year round. The grilled corn and red pepper add fantastic flavor. For a healthier option I sometimes omit the chips and add black beans.

I rarely find a recipe that I don't have to modify in some way to make it really suit my tastes, but this one is *perfect* as is. Delicious!

It was quite tasty. I had to modify it a bit because I made due with what I had on hand. So I didn't put in the chipotle peppers or zucchini, but I did put in some canned spicy chili verde to kick it up a notch. I also added black beans and rice!

This is a great recipe! I would recommend using only one pepper from the chipotle peppers (I usually just freeze the rest and use them later. I also add a can of black beans to make dinner stretch.

Very delicious! My picky husband couldn't get enough. He told everyone that he "usually doesn't like Chicken Tortilla soup, but this is amazing!"

I omitted the zucchini, used regular tortilla chips (not blue and frozen corn (not on the cobb. All of the optional garnishes are a must! An enjoyable soup but defiinitely makes more than four servings (I would say eight to ten servings.

A highly recommend adding the majority of the tortilla chips as a garnish at the end. I added all four cups of the tortilla chips into the soup and they became mushy and I prefer a contrast in texture.
