I made this recipe for my family one night and it was a big hit! The flavors come together so well, it's just awesome. I added extra chipolte peppers because my family likes everything spicy. It's even better the next day!

My picky teen boys loved this soup so much they actually asked for leftovers the next night. I can tell you that has never happened before. Best tortilla soup iI ever had.

This is a great recipe. Lots of flavor. My entire family loves it and asks me to make it on a regular basis. It does take a while to prep (lots of chopping and dicing but it is well worth the results!

i followed the recipe to the the T.. Well I added 2 more chipotle peppers to give it a little more kick. Wow is all I can say. The taste was fantastic and the burn from the extra peppers was a nice compliment to the soup. Thanks for the recipe! I will be making this dish again and again.

I love the smoky flavor from the chipotle peppers! This is fabulous and easy to make. I buy a rotisserie chicken to save time cooking the chicken myself!

Rachel...I have enjoyed a number of your recipes over the past years, but this one really surpassed our expectations. My son and I love to cook together (we're not bad, either and we made this soup together last night. I am enjoying a second bowl today, and, if it is possible, it's even better today.
    Thanks...Claire and Chris

The flavors were so wonderful, my son who is 16 and a huge meat eater even stated that it is good even without the chicken! You do not need much of a serving to be fulfilled as it is very hearty....the recipe makes a lot so it is a great budget meal as well as tasty, we have enough left overs to have for lunch for another dinner. I love this soup!

Sorry, Rachel, I don't think this is a home run. It is good-tasting, especially with some cheese and cilantro sprinkled in, but doesn't taste like traditional tortilla soup. It is much more like a vegetable chili, except with chicken breast instead of ground turkey or beef. I will not make this recipe again. However, I do love tortilla soup so I will be on the lookout for a new recipe to try!

I don't grill my corn all the time on this...and I buy roasted red peppers in the jar and it works out great....I've made this many times and it's become a regular for us. Love it love it love it. So does everyone I make it for.
