I'VE NEVER MADE ONE OF RACHEL'S MEALS I DIDN'T LIKE, BUT THIS IS THE BEST EVER! I LEFT OUT THE LEMON ZEST, JUST BECAUSE I DON'T LIKE IT, AND THE NEXT TIME I MAKE IT, IT WILL TAKE ME LONGER THAN 30 MIN. BECAUSE I WILL MAKE THE DUMPLINGS SMALLER. PROBABLY BECAUSE MY FAMILY HAS ALWAYS MADE MEATBALL SOUP, AND THAT'S HOW MY GREAT AUNTS ALWAYS DID IT. OVERALL, FORGET ABOUT SOUP, THIS IS THE BEST DISH I'VE EVER HAD, OR MADE!

We loved it!!! Of course it took a little longer for me to make. I used my mini processor for the onions & celery & the gremolata...also used ground turkey for the meatballs. Thanks for a real "keeper".

I just have one thing to say about this soup, OMG!!!! This soup was so awesome. Given it took me a little longer than 30 minutes to make, it tasted like it took all day. I am not a big fan of soup and I have never had Osso Buco, but I am tellin' you this one is a winner. Definitely make the gremolata because it adds a lot to the flavor but it is still fantastic without. Love ya Rachel!

I tried this recipe from memory. That is how easy it was. Tasted great and easy to make, a great combination. My 12yr old even liked it. Can't beat that.

Very tasty even for those of us who are not fond of anchovies. I used less for my self and more for my husband who loves the little darlings. Refreshing lemon flavor.

This just looked like "another soup" recipe to me until I saw Rachael add the veal dumplings (I used ground venison - they were excellent. Then, at the end, I added shredded parmesan cheese and grated lemon zest, and WOW! My kids loved the lemon flavor. This was a very pleasant surprise! It is delicious. I like the fact that it is so inexpensive to make also.

This soup has an excellent flavor. Served with a salad it is a perfect casual meal. Right up there with our favorite soups.
You are so much fun Rachel, and tackle cooking the way my German Mom taught me. Thanks! Marlene

This soup is a winner! Even though the recipe had some errors as far as totally not mentioning when to add the wine,(which I of course added with my other liquids, this was super easy and so delicious!! The nutmeg in the meatballs added such an interesting flavor to the whole stoup!
