My grocery store did not have ground veal in stock, but they did have ground lamb. It was excellent with the lamb Can't wait to try it with the veal
The topping was awesome too

I made this stoup the other night thinking it would be anouther noisy night of kids not wanting to eat their food. Was I wrong. They both cleaned their bowls. I did use already made turkey meat balls that I purchased at the store. This is definately a recipe that will be in the "Yummy" section of my cookbook.

I cooked this for myself and my husband and we loved it. We could not find ground veal so I used ground turkey and it was a 10 on the 1-10 scale! This is a must make.

After reading many of the other reviews I was somewhat hesitate to make this recipe, however, I had already purchase all the ingredients so I decided to give it a try. My husband loves to eat and is fairly picky, but he loved this Zuppa and so did I. I made it exactly the way the recipe read, except I didn't make the gremolta, because we do not like anchovies. It was perfect without the gremolta and I served it with a rustic bread. YummO!! I made copies of the recipe for all my friends.

I tried it, accidentally left out the noodles and the nutmeg. I loved it and and, wonder of wonders, so did my son.

This "stoup" was awesome. It was very flavorful and rich. I followed the exact recipe using really good boxed stocks. I did omit the anchovies in the gremelata. The gremelata gave the soup such a great fresh flavor. I will definately make this again. Thanks, Rachael.

My family really enjoyed this meal. My twins are 5 and they loved the veal dumplings. I followed the recipe exactly and it was very good. I made the gremolata and put it in the stoup but we did not care for it. The lemon zest was a little powerful for us. Loved the rest of the meal. Will be making again soon.
