I have tried alot of different pulled pork recipes, this one was by far the best! Everyone that tried it said it was awesome. I used it a few weeks ago in a competition and it was a huge hit with peoples choice. There were so many that came back for seconds and thirds that I lost count.

WOW. My husband and his buddies raved all saying "this was the best pulled pork ever". I also combined the first three steps the night before and then put it in my slow cooker on low for 9 hours. Perfection.

BBQ sauce was sweet and also a crowd pleaser....I may try changing it up a bit next time with more bacon and mustard, less honey and preserves.

I used this receipt for your neighborhood July 4th cookout contest.
I WON !! It won hands down! Each of 6 contestants had to cook a pork butt and 5 judges selected mine as the best.
I made only one change and that was that after following the 3 steps for seasoning I wrapped the butt in plastic wrap and let it marinate in the frig till the next day, about 12 hours. The meat was so tender and the flavor was thru the whole butt. I would recommend the receipt HIGHLY!!!

I couldn't believe how fast this went. There was nothing left over. Next time, I'll double the recipe.
