This recipe was GREAT! I took the other reviewer's suggestion and added chicken stock before putting it in the oven. I also served it with spaghetti sauce (newman's own sockarooni and it really gave it an extra "kick" of spices. Absolutely delicious, my husband and I both loved it and I will be making this again.

I live in Mpls, not far from Nye's, and frequent the joint often. You can never do @ home what they do in a great restaurant, but this is as close as you can get to the real deal. Eating @ Nye's isn't just about the food, it's about the experience. My advice to the previous reviewer, use chicken stock instead of water...will add a bit more flavor to the cabbage. If you've never been to the twins, you need to get here fast because the food is better than ever, and there are so many options. Thanks Rachael, for finally visiting the beautiful twins...you hit the right spots!!!

I liked the flavor of the meat but the sauce lacked something. Need to try chicken broth instead of paper when cooking.

The sausage-meat mixture would make a great breakfast patty.
