While these "pretzels" were certainly tasty, they were pretty much dinner rolls in the shape of a pretzel. It seems like a lot of work for a standard dinner roll. Look elsewhere for a more traditional recipe.

Very good, but they seem more like a kaiser roll to me. I did have a problem with the length of baking time. My oven got the pretzels over done to the point of almost black on the bottom in 20 minutes at 425 degrees. I shortened the cooking time to 15 minutes, which was better. Someone suggested reducing the temp as well. Has anyone tried this? I'm open to suggestions.

I'm not even at the stage of eating this, but I can tell you, there is no way to make a pretzel out of this paste. I thought I was following a previous recipe, but I realized into it that it was the wrong one, but it was too late to turn back. I can't believe this mush. I would have thought I had left out an incredient, but after reading everyone elses review I saw it must have been right. This needs to be pulled off.

you enjoy making a huge mess when you cook. I don't think I've ever been so frustrated in the kitchen. The dough was like thick glue and stuck to my hands like crazy. I had to just make pretzels that looked like bagels cuz I got sick of fighting with the dough. Once I baked them though they were ok. I had to get creative and add different toppings to add any amount of flavor. Romano cheese is good on them : Very bready, not chewy.
