1 tablespoon minced garlic
8 ounces sliced mushrooms
2 ounces white wine
Melt butter in a large saute pan over medium heat. Add garlic and mushrooms and saute until tender. Add wine and simmer for 1 minute or until almost evaporated. Remove from heat and set aside until ready to use.

I'm an Atlanta Native and known about the Vortex for a long time. Its an ecectic place with great food. The burgers inparticular are my absolute favorite. I have a second place in Florida now and am making this recipe because there is no Vortex here-wish there was. Thanks to them for posting this so that I don't miss home so much! Give it a try you will love it too.

I might be a bit biased, since I live down the street from the Votex in Atlanta, and have had this burger a few times. I think the key is you really need to lay on the blue cheese spread thick- in the restaurant, they use an ice cream scoop, so it is a very thick, oozing layer of blue cheese that you get a hunk of love in every bite! Also- I often pass on adding the mushrooms- the taste of the blue cheese, bacon, and burger is outstanding enough.

Great burger, if you are a blue cheese lover then this is really the burger for you! The blue cheese spread melts on the burger, the tomato, onion and lettuce cut the richness. A keeper in our home.
