Ingredients
- 2 1/2 pounds white American cheese, cut into small chunks
- 1/2 white onion, diced
- 1 cup chopped jalapeno peppers
- 1 cup chopped canned green chiles
- 2 cups milk
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 cup diced tomato
- Chips, for serving
Directions
In a double boiler, combine all ingredients except tomato and chips. Cook slowly over low heat until melted, stirring frequently. If you don't have a double boiler, a large bowl set over a pan of simmering water will work. Add tomatoes. Serve warm with your favorite chips.

I don't understand why some of you rated this so high. I should have listened to the other comments and not have tried this recipe. A big waste of money and time. The cheese and liquids wouldn't combine and I ended up with a sloppy stringy mess. Don't bother with this!

I have made this dip numerous times and now my friends and husband expect it for every football game and get-together.
I use fresh jalapenos and it always has plenty of flavor. ole!

I tried this dip for a football party. Who doesn't like cheese after all. It tasted like jalapeno flavored American Cheese. I had to spice it up some more and add extra cheese because it was too runny.
