  • 2 1/2 pounds white American cheese, cut into small chunks
  • 1/2 white onion, diced
  • 1 cup chopped jalapeno peppers
  • 1 cup chopped canned green chiles
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 cup diced tomato
  • Chips, for serving

I don't understand why some of you rated this so high. I should have listened to the other comments and not have tried this recipe. A big waste of money and time. The cheese and liquids wouldn't combine and I ended up with a sloppy stringy mess. Don't bother with this!

I have made this dip numerous times and now my friends and husband expect it for every football game and get-together.
I use fresh jalapenos and it always has plenty of flavor. ole!

I tried this dip for a football party. Who doesn't like cheese after all. It tasted like jalapeno flavored American Cheese. I had to spice it up some more and add extra cheese because it was too runny.
