This was a great salad. I took out the blue cheese and added provolone. Also I used a champagne dressing.

Great salad recipe! Easy and the dressing is delicious. I substituted mozzarella cheese for the bleu cheese and added chicken.

Fabulous! We make it all of the time and the dressing is so easy and is a staple in our refrigerator!

This salad had good flavor. I was a little leary of th maple syrup, but it went well with the vinegar.

This salad is amazing and a lovely change to the usual boring lunch; although I added shredded chicken breast that I roasted in the oven with thyme, lemon, onion and garlic. I did find after tasting the dressing I preferred it to be a sweet so I added a little honey.

Although I enjoy the combination of apples, blue cheese, and nuts in salads, this one fell flat for me. I'm very surprised because this type of salad is typically my favorite. The dressing is the culprit. The ingredients seem to be there, but in all the wrong proportions. I will keep looking for a killer recipe or try to tweak this one to make it work.

Made this salad for my birthday dinner this year. Dressing was great, and we all loved the combo of ingredients! Will definitely make again.

I saw the episode featuring this recipe some months ago and copied it down for my wife. She took this salad to a supperclub group of 50s & 60s in early September. She used dried cranberries instead of cherries and mixed the spring greens with Romaine Lettuce chopped, but otherwise followed the recipe exactly. RAVE REVIEWS from all there; next day she emailed the recipe to all the families there. Fast forward to last week... same salad served to guests, a GA couple in mid-80s, passing through on vacation: RAVE REVIEWS & wife copied recipe that evening to take with her. THIS SALAD is a WINNER among those who like blue cheese, apples, and pecans... the dressing is not overpowering and JUST ENOUGH to complement all the complex flavors waiting to be savored! Very easy and cannot fail! Well worth adding to family favorites & COMPANY DAZZLERS!

This was sooooo tastey. I make a salad similar to these with just a balsalmic dressing. The mustard and sweetness from the maple syrup really bumped it up. I will be making this often!!
