The wings was GREAT, how ever my me &my husband also couldn't find the plum jelly so we used pineapple persevere it gave it a Hawaiian flavor. We will be making some more real soon.

The wings were great. However, I noticed that the recipe did not tell the reader that it is necessary to salt and pepper the wings and then drag them in a mixture of flour, salt and pepper before frying. Also, I used three different peppers and used only half of each. Also, I used only a half tablespoon of red pepper flakes. My husband and cousin loved the chicken. I will make again.

The sauce is delicious! I baked my wings instead of frying but they were still fantastic.

The sauce was just fantastic. I couldn't find the plum jelly, so I substituted apricot and a little orange marmalade. I was, however, disappointed with the wings themselves. I brined them overnight, so the meat did end up incredibly moist. But frying them did nothing. I made sure to dry each wing very thoroughly before putting them into the hot oil, but the skin did not crisp at all. The skin, even after frying and baking, was flabby and we ended up peeling it off. I will use the sauce recipe again, but definitely not the technique.

Really yummy. I only used half the peppers and it was a medium heat. If you like hot go with more. I made a double batch and made it ahead of time not while they were frying. Glad I made double cause my hubby wants these again tomorrow!

good wings especially if you want to kill off your significant other. They taste great but the sodium content is so unbelievable all I could taste after was salt. Even after a stiff drink, wow all I could taste was salt

Excellent!! These are the best. So good that i've been asked to make the again for Super Bowl. I keep reading about how plum jelly can't be found. Go to the Asian food section and get a jar of "Plum Sauce"

I stumbled across this recipe and made them for a football party and they were a big hit. I commend you for creating Asian inspired foods. But I watched the PW episode that aired this recipe and was slightly put off at the reaction from your husband and guests towards these Asian style wings, "...where's the real stuff." Wow! I'm hoping they were joking about being so anti Asian. They should've been grateful you put this whole spread together.
