Ree is my new Culinary Goddess. I have not made one recipe that we did not like (I have a standing list of teenagers that must be invited to dinner when I make the Ranch Style Chicken. We eat a lot of flank steak and I've always believed that you had to marinade it for days to get it tender and tasty. No way would I have believed that this would be so flavorful. Will make again and again with one exception, I used regular soy sauce and it was WAYYY too salty. Next time will definitely use low sodium and will probably add more vegetables. LOVE The Pioneer Woman!

I haven't rated many recipes before, but we just had this for dinner tonight and my husband and I both loved it! Since it was my first time making this dish, I followed the recipe as closely as possible. However, I used fresh broccoli and chardonnay simply because I didn't have snow peas or sherry on hand. I did not add any salt and we still found it to be plenty flavorful (using low-sodium soy sauce as called for. Like another reviewer I could not do this in 16 minutes, but it's worth the extra time!

I really liked this recipe, but I agree with the last reviewer. I shouldn't have used the sherry and even though I did use low sodium soy sauce, it was still too salty for my families taste. I will try to find one with even lower sodium content for next time. I think I will leave out the marinating of the meat as well, because it was the meat that seemed to be the saltiest. I'm going to try substituting the sherry with pineapple juice or apple cider. I will give it another try, because overall my family did like it.

Gave this recipe five stars because I'm sure it could be excellent. I thought it was good not great but totally my fault. I should have known better than to use the sherry. I bought it just for this recipe and will now be throwing it away! Like Rees husband I cant stand wine or any alcohol in my food. I am new at experimenting with Asian flavors and did not know what to substitute it with that would compliment the other ingredients. I did add garlic and broccoli which was great. Served egg drop soup as a side. For dessert ate Ree's Knock you naked brownies I made earlier that day,YUM! Thanks Ree

This was quick, easy and just delicious! The only thing I did different was add broccoli because my family likes it - everything else was exactly to the recipe. The flavor was great, the meal was satisfying and I will definitely make this often. No way I would can make this in 16 minutes but definitely under 30.

This was fabulous. The sauce is better than restaurant quality. One suggestion: Unless you REALLY love ginger, back off of the one tablespoon. It was a bit much. Use your imagination with veggies and make this your very own..... Love you Ree.

Just made this for dinner and it was great! Made a few changes, added sliced carrot and onion with the peas, clove minced garlic in the sauce, and substituted pineapple juice for the sherry.
    Very tasty and quick.

Ok if you are cooking with cast iron enamel do NOT put it on high! I'd recommend a stainless or non stick pan. The food was great! Totally worth adding to the go to recipes.

very tasty however have to make sure that you season it with salt as you are cooking the peas, the meat and the broccoli because it will lack flavor if not well seasoned with salt...i liked it... very fresh and fun.. my family loved it...!

I made this tonight and it was delicious. A couple of notes: if you buy flank steak at Costco, one of the steaks in the package is the perfect amount for the recipe. I followed the recipe except for the following: i added 1 T of hoisen sauce and 1 t of garlic chili sauce instead of the crushed red pepper. Also, next time, I think I will try adding some red pepper and mushrooms. Overall, it's a great recipe and I think most people will like it.
