This is my kind of cobbler. The texture is almost sponge-like, in a very good way! My only issue is how thin it is due to the size of the pan it calls for. Sure, I can toss it all in a bowl and the thickness would be irrelevant, but I'm visual when it comes to food and presentation, so it does make a difference to me.

Many, many years ago, on a road trip. We stopped in a truck stop, and had some best cobbler. It was different from cobbler made with pie crust that I was used to. I am so glad I stumbled upon this recipe. My family really loves it, and it is so easy to make. I add vanilla and lemon zest to the batter to make it my own

I prepared the cobbler yesterday for the first time as I love cobblers but have never dare prepared one. Anyhow, everybody loved it, but I am still not sure it was supposed to turned out kind of "gooey" inside. I baked it for 1 hour just like it said and the top was crisp and sweet but the inside looked uncooked to me. But what can I say: No leftovers!

This was very good and very easy to make. I loved it, and I'm not a huge blackberry fan. At first I thought it was going to be too sweet with all the sugar on top; however, it was perfect! I will definitely be making this again, and next time I might try another fruit (I love peach and cherry cobblers the most.
Thanks for the easy recipe Ree! I love your show!
