Made this recipe twice now. Love It!
First time I made it with the blackberries, and agree with some previous reviews, seems I needed to cook it just a little bit longer. It was wonderful, and even better next day.
I then tried it with fresh blueberries, not so good. Not sure why, I believe because the blueberries just don't juice up like the blackberry.
Making this again this weekend for a family get together. Love how easy it is seeing I am a beginner to baking :-

Wildly - delicious! 'Twas the night before Christmas when a fresh CHERRY craving struck. Dug out fresh/frozen cherries from the summer & used those instead, as I had no blackberries on hand + craved cherries. The great thing is that it's not overly sweet, just right. Baked up beautifully, tasted wonderful, & took care of my craving. Will definitely make again. Bought a bag of frozen blackberries to try it with next time. Never thought I'd have to hide ot from my husband as he's not that into sweets. He came home from work & must have loved it too since he polished off the remainder of it in short order. This recipe is a keeper & will be making for years to come. Thank you Ree!

@cudles41 and @ibcsk4now, I see you two are mad at Ree for that jump rope contest in grade school...lol. I made the cobbler for dessert for my New Year's meal and it was so gooooood. Aldi's had a great sale on blackberries, .79 a container.

we did the blackberry cobbler for Christmas Eve dinner. it was awesome. everyone loved it. my Dad made one on Christmas day using cherries instead of blackberries. the only suggestion or criticism i have is a post script should have been added,"better make 2 or save room for desert!" looking forward to blackberries and cherries coming into season. many thanks

Tried this recipe, but made it with frozen mixed berries instead of just blackberries. I've made 4 batches of it so far (2 doubles, 2 singles and it was a big hit everywhere. I haven't quite figured out the cooking time yet, though. It may be that I think I added more berries than called for, but after an hour, mine was still very raw in the middle, but beginning to brown on the sides. I've tried a couple different things and, on the latest double batch, I covered it with foil for the first hour so it would cook more in the middle and not so much on the sides. Then I uncovered it and cooked for about another 45 minutes and it came out pretty good. It still comes out a little mushy on the bottom, but I think that's because I used extra berries so maybe it's from the juice. Either way, rave reviews for flavor at both work and family events this holiday season. If anything, I think people likes the mushy bottom to give it that gooey dessert texture. Will definitely make it again!

I wanted to try this recipe since it did not require making a pie crust...and this was so easy and delicious. I added more than the 2 cups of blackberries (about 2 1/2 cups and I added a few rasberries as well. Oh and I threw in some vanilla extract. Yum Yum Yum!!! I will definitely make this way more often. I want to also try making these in muffin tins to see how single servings of cobbler would turn out.
