    Loved these!! I kept lifting the lid over the course of the cooking time just to smell them. They were delicious!

    Very tasty but I had to add more water during the last three hours. Also, it was a little too salty even though I didn't use any salt at all. I think it was the bouillon cubes. Next time I'll use the low-sodium cubes.

    I was curious about this recipe. I just HAD to see what 9hrs would do to mushrooms! I've decided the end results are not worth that much trouble. They aren't bad, they just aren't great. For 9 hrs of my attention, a recipe needs to turn out a lot better than these mushrooms.

    The mushrooms are full of flavor, yes....but the flavor was too salty. I followed the recipe exactly except for the salt. I didn't add any. They were still too salty. I won't make them again.

    Tried these, Yes, it takes all day, and when they were done I added cream, used my immersion blender to make the best cream of mushroom soup ever! Next time I will restrain myself and enjoy the pot of mushrooms as is. Fabulous recipe for the mushroom lover. Thanks, Ree! I am a big fan.

    Was a HIT with my beef last year will try it again. Family was surprise of the way it look but the taste was great even the day after the taste was great!!

    Fabulous! I was surprised that the recipe didn't end up being too salty however they were perfect. I even added a pinch of salt at the end. All I can surmise from those critics is that maybe the recipe wasn't followed as intended. Anyway these were the most flavorful mushrooms and a terrific addition to my bone-in ribeye dinner. The mushrooms really pick up the flavors of the burgundy and choosing a good wine IS important. I found that it was easiest to start the stockpot by boiling the water and then adding the ingredients prior to adding the mushrooms. I thought it made it easier to combine the ingredients. I will definitely make this recipe again.

    My family LOVES this dish! It is time consumming however the aroma in my home during the cooking is worth it. Everyone knows it's going to be a special meal when I make these mushrooms.
