That was excellent. Very tasty. We didn't have almond extract, so we used almond paste which added a really good texture and excellent. I definitely recommend.

I should have read reviews and watched video before making this dish. I also had the problem with the crisp topping?? running into the cherries. I used unsweetened cherries and folldowed the recipe that was written online so I made the mistakes that were printed in the recipe. Will know better next time.

Wonderful!!! After reading some of the reviews I did make some changes. Do not use 1 1/2 sticks of butter...just 1 stick and yes, only 1/2 c. brown sugar, 1/2 c sugar in topping along with 1/2 c. sugar on cherries. I halved everything to make it for 4 and it turned out wonderful! Will definitely make again.

I did prepare this recipe and In comparing video to written recipe I discovered some discrepancies. Video - 1/2 cup brown sugar instead of 1 cup. Video - 1 stick of butter instead of 1 1/2 sticks and video - using 1/2 cup white sugar for topping and 1/2 cup white sugar for cherries. Instructions did not state 1/2 cup white sugar for topping. I did however, make it by written recipe and found it too sweet and topping did not crust just ran into cherries. I will make it the way Ree demonstrated in video. Hopefully, will turn out better. I think I will either cut down or out altogether on white sugar in topping and add toasted oats.

I made this twice and the flavor is great. However, it is so runny. The second time I increased the cornstarch but still runny and not attractive looking. The crisp is not crisp and goes down into the cherry mixture. Maybe the cherries should be defrosted and blotted dry?

I halved the recipe since I only needed it for 4. Couldn't find tart cherries so used sweet cherries and omitted the sugar. All the topping sank into the cherries and had very little crunchy topping. Next time may cook the cherries for awhile so they thaw and sink down and then add topping. Taste was excellent even without the crunchy topping

This is soo delicious! After reading some reviews I made a few tweaks. I only added 1/2 cup of brown sugar and 1/2 cup of granulated sugar to the topping, and 1/4 cup of granulated sugar to the cherries to cut down on sweetness, and the end result came out perfectly sweet. To the topping I added 1/2 cup of rolled oats for more crunch and a pinch of cloves and allspice. I made the recipe in one big baking dish and we have been eating this nonstop for breakfast and dessert, it makes great leftovers! First time making homemade whipped cream and it is heaven combined with the crisp.
